George Orwell's dystopian novel "1984" is about a world in which the all-powerful party of "Big Brother" wrote the following slogan on the wall of its "Ministry of Truth":

  • WAR IS PEACE

  • FREEDOM IS SLAVERY

  • IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

In today’s real existing (German) democracy, this would probably be supplemented as follows:

  • Freedom of speech is anti-democratic

As an old saying goes:

He who tells the truth needs a fast horse.

Translated into the present day, one would have to say:

Anyone who expresses their opinion needs influence, a good lawyer or a streamlined opinion!

May there be many people with fast horses!
